About Therapy
Gain perspective and self-compassion
Seeking help is not a weakness – it’s a sign of strength, bravery and courage.
The experience of being listened and understood in counselling and psychotherapy can be life changing. Sometimes talking to trained person who you don’t know brings a new sense of freedom.
There may be a particular event or issue which brings you to consider having therapy, or maybe you have many conflicting thoughts, feelings or beliefs which you would like to explore.
Through the experience of counselling and psychotherapy, I hope to help you to know yourself better, to gain perspective and find self-compassion. It may also be a place where you feel more able to open up and explore difficult parts of yourself.
I use a number of approaches which can be tailored to meet your preferences and needs. And I work with awareness of trauma in the body, careful to manage painful feelings and not let them overwhelm you.
If you are experiencing addiction, we can explore the feelings that drive these behaviours and work with your desires to numb painful feelings, helping to break the addiction cycle and move towards a more rewarding life.
